Consistent with its environmental management program, CCUM will install one new 40 MW gas boiler this summer, to reduce its Greenhouse gases by 8,000 tons, or the equivalent of removing 2,000 cars off the road, every year.
CCUM obtained a 2 million subsidy from the Agence de l'efficacité énergétique that values the environmental benefit of this initiative.
CCUM continues its environmental management program and air emissions improvements, with the objective to reduce air pollutants by 24,000 tons of GHG (or the equivalent of 6,000 cars), 500 tons of SO2 and 37 tons of particles per year.
